Coaching

Are you ready to take a team to the next level?

At H.S.R.V. Pelargos, our coaches play a crucial role in guiding our rowers on their journey to success. Coaches are dedicated to providing support and guidance to rowers, regardless of their experience level. They are there for every type of rower and are indispensable to a successful team. They focus on everything from teaching the basics to perfecting the rowing stroke. Who knows, maybe with your tips, you’ll help a crew cross the finish line first. So, are you interested in coaching?

Steering

Oar in hand, eyes on the prize, on the way to victory!

Steering isn’t something you learn overnight. For everyone, it’s a process of getting used to, and often, it’s something new. To master steering, it’s a matter of “just doing it.” You learn it through the experiences you gain during training.

However, if you want to steer in competitions or at the club level, you need more knowledge about steering. It’s important that, in addition to giving commands, you also understand the rowing technique of the rowers. From the boat, you often see things differently than from the shore. You support the coaches in this. As an experienced coxswain, you’re crucial in races. You learn how to guide a crew through a race, ensuring that the rowers don’t give up and push themselves to the limit. These skills can be learned through various courses.
