Collaboration
General
Since its founding on May 2, 2002, H.S.R.V. Pelargos has undergone significant transformations. Starting as a small student rowing club within the rowing association De Laak, it has now grown into the largest and fastest-growing student (rowing) club in The Hague.
Pelargos has already produced an Olympian, won a national ranking, and is now on the verge of realizing its most ambitious project to date: the Rowing Center Binckhorst.
Returning to its roots, H.S.R.V. Pelargos is now joining forces with RV De Laak to create a large rowing center in the Binckhorst. This will provide students and residents of The Hague and the surrounding area with the opportunity to engage in rowing. The goal of this initiative is to become a flagship for The Hague and to strengthen the student culture in the city.
Through this page, we would like to highlight the opportunities that are emerging for both our clubs and for your organization or business.
Collaborate with Pelargos
Rowing is a challenging sport that requires ambition and perseverance—qualities that define our members. Within Pelargos, there is a chance that your future employees are among our members. As a thriving student sports club, we host a diverse group of members with a wide range of talents and backgrounds. They are all driven to excel, both on and off the water.
Our club serves as a breeding ground for talent, where members develop in various areas, such as organizational skills through different committees, leadership through involvement in the board, or coaching. We see Pelargos as a hub for future leaders and professionals, and we encourage companies to collaborate with us to discover and nurture this talent.
Additionally, rowing is a sport in which our boats travel across the Netherlands, from Groningen to Maastricht. Your company’s name can be linked to one of our boats or even to all of our oars (poles). This way, your brand will be prominently displayed during all rowing competitions, giving your business visibility among thousands of students. Moreover, by doing so, you support (student) rowing in The Hague and our plans for new facilities.
As the largest student (sports) association in The Hague, we have a broad reach on social media among students and young professionals. We are happy to share your job openings, events, and/or products through our social channels.
Rowing center Binckhorst
Work is in full swing on the future of rowing in The Hague, with the new rowing center at the heart of this development. As a business, you have the opportunity to associate your name with this dynamic project, which will not only be a sports center for the Binckhorst area but for all of The Hague.
Partnering with Pelargos and the Rowing Center Binckhorst offers various opportunities for exposure within the building, which will house a total of 900 members. Furthermore, we provide an excellent location for future social gatherings, networking events, and other parties.
Corporate rowing & Teambuilding
Rowing is all about collaboration, strength, and perseverance. These three elements are central to the team-building sessions organized by Pelargos.
In teams of four, participants will first learn the rowing technique on the rowing machines and work on synchronizing their movements. They will then make the transition to the boats, where, under the guidance of experienced coaches and coxswains, they will experience the true feel of rowing.
The sessions can be booked individually or combined with a tailor-made package. This package may include snacks and drinks at the club house, a barbecue, or a special arrangement in collaboration with a nearby partner.
