The Open Weeks at H.S.R.V. Pelargos are just around the corner, and the full programme is now online!
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be hosting a wide range of activities for students in The Hague. From rowing clinics, networking events and an interactive mystery evening to an international night, a Viking Night with STËLZ, Expeditie Pelargos, waterside socials and much more.

De Open Weken van H.S.R.V. Pelargos komen eraan en het volledige programma staat nu online!
De komende weken organiseren we een reeks activiteiten voor alle studenten in Den Haag. Van roeiclinics, netwerkborrels en een interactief mysterie tot een internationale avond, een Vikingavond met STËLZ, Expeditie Pelargos, borrels aan het water en nog veel meer. Er is voor iedereen iets te beleven, of je nu al ervaring hebt met roeien of voor het eerst kennismaakt met de sport.
Roeicentrum Binckhorst krijgt steeds meer vorm
De bouw van Roeicentrum De Binckhorst maakt mooie stappen vooruit. Waar in maart de fundering werd aangelegd, is nu duidelijk zichtbaar hoe het gebouw verder verrijst. Op de foto’s is te zien dat de dakprofielen momenteel worden geplaatst. In de toekomstige trainingszaal kun je op dit moment nog door de constructie heen kijken, maar met iedere nieuwe montage krijgt het gebouw steeds meer zijn definitieve vorm.
Roeicentrum Binckhorst Continues to Take Shape
Construction of Roeicentrum De Binckhorst is making great progress. While the foundation works were underway in March, the building is now visibly rising from the ground. The photos show the installation of the roof profiles, marking another important milestone in the construction process. In the future training hall, it is still possible to look through the structure, but with each newly installed section, the building is moving closer to its final appearance.

It’s official: registrations for the introduction period (afroeiperiode) of H.S.R.V. Pelargos are now open!
Do you want to get to know rowing, the association, and student life in The Hague in just five weeks? Then now is the perfect time to sign up. During the intro period, you’ll be guided together with other students by experienced members, discover everything Pelargos has to offer, and become part of the club from day one.
The weeks are packed with activities, from sporty moments on the water to fun evenings at the clubhouse. You won’t just learn how to row, you’ll mainly get to know the people, the atmosphere, and the student life that make Pelargos so special.
At the end of the intro period, you’ll show what you’ve learned during the final races, with a chance to win the title of intro champion.
Please note: there are a maximum of 125 spots available. Full = full; once the limit is reached, you will be placed on the waiting list.

Het is zover: de inschrijvingen voor de afroei van H.S.R.V. Pelargos zijn geopend!
Wil jij in vijf weken kennismaken met roeien, de vereniging en het studentenleven in Den Haag? Dan is dit hét moment om je in te schrijven. Tijdens de afroei word je samen met andere studenten begeleid door ervaren leden, ontdek je alles wat Pelargos te bieden heeft en maak je direct onderdeel uit van het verenigingsleven.
De weken zitten vol activiteiten, van sportieve momenten op het water tot gezellige avonden op de sociëteit. Je leert niet alleen roeien, maar vooral ook de mensen, de sfeer en het studentenleven dat Pelargos zo bijzonder maakt.
Aan het einde van de afroei laat je tijdens de eindwedstrijden zien wat je hebt geleerd en maak je kans op de titel afroeikampioen.
Let op: er zijn maximaal 125 plekken beschikbaar. Vol = vol, dan kom je op de wachtlijst terecht.

The foundation for the Rowing Centre Binckhorst is being laid
In early March 2026, work began on the foundation of the Rowing Center Binckhorst. The photo shows the first steps in the construction of the future Binckhorst Rowing Center: from excavating the building pit to installing formwork and pouring concrete. With this solid foundation, the new home of rowing in The Hague is quite literally taking shape. It is a milestone marking the moment when plans begin to become reality.
De fundering voor Roeicentrum Binckhorst wordt gelegd
Begin maart 2026 wordt een begin gemaakt met de fundering van Roeicentrum De Binckhorst. Op de foto is te zien hoe de eerste stappen worden gezet voor het toekomstige Roeicentrum Binckhorst: van het uitgraven van de bouwput tot het plaatsen van bekisting en het storten van beton. Met deze solide basis krijgt het nieuwe onderkomen voor de Haagse roeisport letterlijk vorm. Een moment waarop plannen werkelijkheid beginnen te worden.
